NIDOP, APC Poland hail Amb Ohakim on presentation of letters of credence, celebrate the 66th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence

Ohakim presented her credentials to Nawrocki on September 28, 2026, in what the two Nigerian organisations described as a significant milestone in strengthening diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Poland.

In a Thursday joint congratulatory statement signed by the President of NIDOP, Dr Emanuel Kalejaiye, and the Renewed Hope Ambassador of APC Poland, Omooba Adekunle Ayoola, the groups expressed confidence in Ohakim’s ability to represent Nigeria with distinction.

The statement read in part, “This significant diplomatic milestone marks an important chapter in strengthening the cordial relations, friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and Poland.

“We are confident that Your Excellency will represent Nigeria with distinction, dedication and excellence.”

NIDOP and APC Poland also congratulated President Bola Tinubu on what they described as a milestone in the development of constructive relations between Nigeria and Poland.

The organisations extended their felicitations to the President and Nigerians as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1, 2026.

“As Nigerians in Poland, NIDOP and APC Poland remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote Nigeria’s image, strengthen Nigeria–Poland relations, and advance the welfare and interests of Nigerians in the Diaspora,” the statement added.

The groups further wished Ohakim a successful and impactful tenure, while reaffirming their commitment to initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries.

They concluded, “Congratulations, Your Excellency! Congratulations to Nigeria at 66! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Long live Nigeria–Poland friendship!”
